Hey man :)

Therapy for Men

A practical, grounded approach to stress, overwhelm, shutdown and emotional pressure.

When things aren’t falling apart… but they’re not working either

A lot of men don’t come to therapy because they’re “in crisis”.

They come because something feels off, like:

  • you’re constantly tense or on edge

  • your patience is shorter than it used to be

  • you feel flat, numb or disconnected

  • you’re carrying a lot, but don’t know how to put it down

  • stress sits in your body and never really leaves

  • you can’t switch off, even when things are technically “fine”

If this sounds familiar, you’re not broken BUT your nervous system IS overloaded.

This isn’t traditional talk therapy

You don’t need to:

  • apologise for your masculinity

  • have the “right words”

  • talk endlessly about feelings

My work is practical, chill and paced.

We focus on:

  • reducing constant stress and tension

  • understanding how your body responds under pressure

  • restoring a sense of steadiness and control

  • helping you feel more present, grounded and regulated

  • building capacity rather than forcing change

You set the pace. Nothing is pushed.

What men often work on with me

Men reach out for support with things like:

  • chronic stress or burnout

  • anger that feels close to the surface

  • emotional shutdown or numbness

  • anxiety that shows up physically

  • difficulty relaxing or sleeping

  • relationship strain and infidelity

  • work pressure or performance stress

  • Fatherhood pressures

  • feeling disconnected from themselves or others

You don’t need a diagnosis.

You don’t need to justify why you’re here. If something isn’t working, that’s enough :)

Sessions that fit real life

Sessions are held either in person or often online, which some men prefer because they’re:

  • private

  • efficient

  • flexible

  • easy to fit around work

  • comfortable from your own space

No commute. No waiting rooms.

Just focused, practical support.

About meeee (your therapist)

I’m Kat, a therapist and community social worker with a background in nervous system informed practice.
You can learn more about me on my about me pages.

I work with men who:

  • are capable and functional, but stretched

  • carry responsibility without much support

  • don’t relate to traditional therapy

  • want something grounded and practical

My approach is calm, warm, direct and responsive instead of clinical or performative.

You won’t be told what to feel or how to be.

A note for men who are unsure..

It’s cool if you’re unsure, ni pressure.
You don’t need to be “ready for therapy”.
You don’t need to know what you’ll say.
You don’t need to commit long term.

Sometimes the most useful first step is simply talking to someone who understands how pressure shows up for men in the body and knows how to work with it :)
